Waitlist privacy

This page covers the Helpar waitlist only: the sign-up forms on this site and the emails that follow. It explains what we collect, why, where it is kept and how to have it removed.

What we collect

We do not store your IP address. To stop automated sign-ups, we keep a scrambled, one-way version of it for up to two hours to count attempts, then delete it. This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and we never sell or rent your information.
Where it is stored and who processes it
Your sign-up is stored in Canada, in Amazon Web Services’ Montreal region, and our emails are sent through Amazon’s email service in the same region. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which also runs the security check on the form (Turnstile). That check reads technical information from your browser and IP address to tell people from bots, and Cloudflare may process it outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
How long we keep it
- If you don’t confirm your email: deleted after 7 days.
- Once you confirm: kept for 12 months, then deleted. If Helpar opens in your area before then, we email you once with a link to sign up.
- If you unsubscribe: your name, phone, postal area and services are removed straight away, and the rest is deleted within 30 days.
Your choices
Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email [email protected] to see what we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted, and we will reply within 30 days.
